PLANNING APPLICATIONS AND CORRESPONDENCE
16 OCTOBER 2003

APPLICATIONS:

03/02472/LBC Extension to dwelling – 26 Post Street. Recommendation: APPROVAL subject to stipulation that patio doors and windows should be of an appropriate style in keeping with the character of the building.
03/02524/FUL Erection of conservatory – 15 Sweetings Road. Recommendation: APPROVAL.
03/02471/FUL Extension to dwelling – 26 Post Street. Recommendation: APPROVAL.
03/02546/FUL Extension to dwelling – 13 Ravenshoe. Recommendation: APPROVAL conditional to there being no objections from neighbours.
03/02628/LBC Removal of internal wall – 51 Post Street. Recommendation: APPROVAL.
03/02737/FUL Extension to dwelling to provide additional first floor accommodation – 3 Bluegate. Recommendation: REFUSAL on the grounds that the height and proximity of the proposed extension to the adjacent boundary is likely to cause a loss of light issue with the adjacent property.
03/02033/FUL Erection of sports pavilion to replace existing Sports Pavilion – Bearscroft Lane – amended plans. Recommendation: REFUSAL. Whilst the proposed relocation was noted, the assertion that the building could not be seen from the A1198 was not shared by the Council. The adequacy of car parking was questionable and there was no evidence to confirm that the application site plan was the same as that approved by HDC. The application was, therefore, contrary to Policies SP12/1 in the Cambs County Structure Plan 1995, En17 of the Hunts Local Plan 1995, SP12/10 of the Structure Plan and both En25 and R2 in the Local Plan.
