Your local Police Community Support Officers are PCSO Vicki Docking and PCSO Deberoh Thorburn. They have served the community of Godmanchester since September 2003 and already they have formed strong relationships with some community members.

Their day to day tasks are many and varied. For instance, they undertake patrol work, visit local schools and residential homes, and generally through their very presence seek to offer reassurance to the community at large.

The issues they address range from parking problems through to vandalism and antisocial behaviour. Some of this activity includes confiscating alcohol and tobacco from young people. Part of their problem solving work includes regular liaison with other agencies such as the local authority.

However, the key group with whom they most want to work is the community itself. Certainly it is the people of Godmanchester who are best placed to provide vital information.
