Godmanchester in summary

Located on the A14 about 19 miles (30km) north west of Cambridge on the River Great Ouse, Godmanchester is a great place for tourists to visit or stop on your journey; to get a meal and take a relaxing stroll along the river or around Portholme, England's largest meadow.

It is also accessible from London via the A1 or by rail from Kings Cross (60 minutes to Huntingdon which is about 2miles from the centre of GMC).

Godmanchester is a town not a village as it was Chartered in 1212 and again in 1604, but with a population of about 5000, it has a true "community". More information...
